Rail-mounted gantry crane is primarily used for stacking containers and handling container trucks at docks and container yards. It is capable of directly lifting ISO-standard 20-foot, 40-foot, and 45-foot containers, and can also handle special containers or other cargo using the lifting lugs on the spreader. The crane can be custom-designed and manufactured according to specific vessel types and yard conditions.
Under permissible weather conditions, the crane can operate and undergo maintenance 24 hours a day. Its electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems are designed to meet the requirements of local climatic conditions and operational cycles.
The operation and monitoring of the rail-mounted gantry crane are fully controlled by digitally controlled AC frequency converters and PLC systems, ensuring reliable and efficient performance. All onboard systems—including the electrical control system, hoisting and traveling mechanisms, spreader, electrical protection devices, emergency and service brakes, operator cabin, machine room, and all other components—are engineered for high efficiency and trouble-free operation.
The crane is capable of performing simultaneous operations such as main hoisting with trolley movement or gantry travel with trolley movement. It is equipped with comprehensive safety protection and fault alarm display systems. In the event of a malfunction, the system can quickly identify the affected area for prompt troubleshooting. The crane is designed to work continuously under full load and rated speed conditions.
